Thanks for the post, James. You made some great points. I will suggest that although the enabling nature of BVSN's product (generate custom content for an individual customer) is a key strength, there are other companies on their heals looking to provide the same solution. Many of these will go public over the next year, though BVSN definitely has a head start. But I do not think their product will be the only solution in the Market over the long term. Their patent seems to be more process oriented than product focused, but either way, competition will hit this space hard at some point. Regarding their staffing issues, I'm in agreement that many of the professional service firms are partnering with BVSN to implement their solutions. The concern, however, is that quality control issues tend to become a problem when control over the implementation of the product is, for the most part, outsourced. From my personal experience, this is a real issue as most of the major corporation are becoming increasingly sensitive to the .com software and solution providers that cannot fulfill on the execution side of the street. I'm not saying that BVSN can't win with this model, it just needs to be managed carefully. Finally, on the "high switching costs" issue, I think this is an open issue. I personally don't believe that major corporation wouldn't switch if a better, more flexible open standard solution came along and challenged BVSN's products. We shall see on this one. I anticipate having some direct exposure with BVSN in the very near future at which time I will be able to give a better perspective on this front. Teflon Teflon
