Mail.com is Selected by Ericsson as Official E-mail Provider for Telecom'99; Offers Web-based e-mail access to European conference attendees

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--October 12, 1999--Mail.com Inc., (Nasdaq: MAIL) a leading
global provider of Internet messaging services, and Ericsson, (Nasdaq: ERICY) the
worldwide telecom solutions provider and the official network services provider for the
TIK's intranet at Telecom'99 and Interactive'99 intranet, chose Mail.com as their e-mail
partner for the conference, which takes place in Geneva, Switzerland, October 11th
through October 17th, 1999.
A record-breaking quarter-of-a-million visitors are expected at this October's
Telecom'99. With easy access to catalogue information, e-mail and the Internet, demand
for e-mail will be even greater. - Over 50,000 e-mails are expected to be exchanged, and
more than 20,000 accounts created, along with the big surge expected in the number of
Internet searches undertaken and voice and video connections made over the eight-day
event.
"We are pleased that Ericsson chose Mail.com as the e-mail provider for the Telecom'99
Conference and look forward to continuing our relationship with them. Partnerships such
as this underscore consumer demand for accessible communications tools to stay in touch
with their homes and businesses while traveling," said Gary Millin, President of Mail.com.
The extended integrated network was designed and deployed by Ericsson to deliver
unparalleled service to Telecom'99 attendees, including added capacity for the GSM
network for increased access to mobile voice and data services. Ericsson will also launch
a terminal dial-up access for messaging making Mail.com's e-mail service available from
hotels, airports, Skycom business center and other locations; a dial-out facility will be
available through the Public Switched Telephone Network. This project will continue
commercially after Telecom'99.
