Dow Jones Newswires -- October 12, 1999 DJ Bell Atlantic Launches Frame Relay Service NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--Bell Atlantic Corp. (BEL) launched the Managed Frame Access Service, which delivers frame relay services with routing from Cisco Systems Inc. (CSCO) at the customer's premise. As part of the service, Bell Atlantic will also own and manage the customer's router. In a press release Tuesday, Bell Atlantic said the new service is part of its Managed Data Network Services, which gives customers a single point of contact for the purchase, design, implementation, maintenance and ongoing management of their frame relay wide area networks. Managed Frame Access Service is available throughout Bell Atlantic's mid-Atlantic and Northeast service area at an undisclosed fixed monthly rate. interactive.wsj.com
