Actually Matey...It's how most traders on the otc boards make their money...They play the spreads or "box" a stock...They'll only put in a buy order if they sell some at higher price's and that's only on the long side of things....

They'll do the same thing on the short side, especially if they know the house is covered by an option/warrant position of sorts...

Hell, they'll even do it on the bigger boards...That's one of the reasons why we see so many Bullchit bids and offers disappearing and appearing on various stocks...

They'll lay out the paper in order to scare stock out, so they can cover their short positions and they'll inflate their bid's in order to unload their long positions/options or warants...
