I agree with this "CNBC on a 5pt Dow day: The markets cascaded upwards today in a High Tech rally. CNBC on a -5pt Dow day: Is this the beginning of a Bear Market????"

or when they say something like ... xyz stock moved sharply down and it moved down 3/8 of a point. (for ie a 60 dollar stock).

I think they have a list of vocabulary to use and they just dont understand sharply isnt how you describe small moves; or like you said bear market time etc ...

lets see fractionally, marginally, positive, above, it's like the produceres are sitting there with a theasaures.
