Mary, Intel met earnings forecast . What more do you want...they said next qtr will be stronger...Basic earnings per share excluding acquisition-related costs 0.57

I agree with you. I would much prefer if Intel would be more conservative, sort of like our friends in Redmond (okay, maybe not quite that extreme, but you get the idea.)

It appears to be an easy formula to follow (but maybe it's not?) Still, Redmond has this down pat, so I am a bit confused why it's not duplicated here. Let the analysts think it's doom and gloom. IMHO that formula works better and would make me feel more comfortable.

although I am still substantially 'off-line' till next week
I did buy more intc @ $71 after the quarter numbers release. I would have loved to buy even more at $65.
Near term goal: 90 bucks before Y2k.

Everyone jumping into the AOL band-wagon ? Not me ...
