Are Athlons really that good? I haven't had a chance to take an objective look at it. I also hear that they are practically non-existent in terms of availability. I am trying to build a cluster of 7 to 10 SMP servers to run a Java based Office suite that we are currently beta testing. Demand seems to swell exponentially, and the first day we put it out as a public beta, the server was swamped. I am open to suggestions from any of the hardware gurus in terms of low processing power. I hear their are some geniuses on this thread:-)
