I agree that cable acquisition and consolidation will continue and I agree that Charter will get bigger. But I think they will still remain small relative to T and TWX.

At this point it looks like the definition of "cable customer" is changing, but the 30% rule will not be changed. T will have to divest enough of its customer base to reduce its share from near 50% to 30%. That means that T and TWX will each have 30% of the cable customers in the country. Everyone else -- including the equally aggressive Comcast, Cox, and Charter -- will split the other 40%.
