stephen, No gloom and doom. Intc is a great company. but the FACT is they missed expectations in an already overheated NASDAQ. reported third quarter earnings that were slightly below analysts' estimates And are forecasting a "seasonally strong" fourth quarter ignoring what might happen. No Y2K coverage in the call or in the report. Not that I'm predicting any...but what if? If you didn't own a PC and were even the slightest bit worried about Y2K..why wouldn't you wait until January to buy...just to be sure? OG
