What are intel's numbers going to do to us tomorrow?

My personal opinion is that we will open down and finish no worse than down 1/2 a point.

Intel's problems certainly aren't units, and we are in the early stages of an enormous build out of semi capacity. Although CYMI may have risen an equal percentage as it larger brethren from its lows a year ago, the large caps didn't get nearly as beaten up last year. Consequently, CYMI has much farther to run before it even gets to equal footing with the AMAT's, KLAC's, LRCX's, and NVLS's of this sector. It is for this reason that over the last few months it has not sold off as much during the mini "corrections." Its relative strength has been superb.

With earnings in less than two weeks, I actually won't be surprised if we close up tomorrow.

FWIW

Jay

[EDIT} I also won't be surprised if I'm wrong tomorrow. <VBG>
