Well, believe it or not, MM, religion used to be a safer subject around here than politics. (May I add a smiley? Oops -- better not.)

So what's Bradley's next move after the Vice Pretender gets routed?

I really haven't been following the campaign that closely. Bradley has his weak spots, too, of course. But seems to me he is a far better candidate than the "Vice Pretender."

I like that term ("Vice Pretender"),by the way. There is something about the anointing of VP's as successors that rubs the anti-royalist American in me the wrong way. (I feel a bit the same way about GW, as well. That feeling of "entitlement" the Bushes seem to have really bugs me.)

And if there were to be a Bradley-Bush debate, I think there would be nothing left of Bush but "the horns and the hooves," as the Russians say.

Now I had better strap on my armor, before the brickbats start flying!

I would still like to see a Republican win, on the general principle that no party should occupy the seat for more than two consecutive terms, but Bradley would be a much more interesting opponent. And Bush Jr. seems capable of changing my mind.
