<<Springfield looks like a pretty good sized city on the map. Is there an airport there that can accommodate larger than 13 seaters?>>

Springfield is the state capital but it doesn't have much of an airport. Peoria has the biggest airport in the area but Bloomington/Normal handles some fair sized jets. It's the fastest growing airport in the US. My buddy took a jet to Minneapolis a couple of years ago out of B/N and it looked to hold about 100 people. There might be a jet direct from Orlando to B/N, I'll check on it when people start waking up. I know there's a fairly large jet that flies from B/N to St.Louis at 6 am every morning, as it goes over my house.

Never could get in touch with my buddy, I don't know what alley he's sleeping in.

I did call the airport, it's now the Central Illinois Regional Airport, big deal up from the B/N airport. Well really it is. Like I said it's the fastest growing in the US. They did a huge build up 2 years ago.

I called the airport... nothing from Tampa but they do have a flight from Orlando and to Orlando. Some stop for a touch and go in Atlanta and some don't.

As for <<I don't really care for those 13 seater puddle jumpers>> They land in Springfield along with the bi-wings. The planes into Central Illinois Regional Airport, they are DC9s and 737s. Air Tran does the flight.

Any other help I can give let me know. Midwestern hospitality.

Bert Jackson moved from here to your area in the 70s. Couldn't get a regular dealership so opened a Volkswagon, Toyota... Just before the gas shortage. Cleaned up like a mop.
