I think you're right. Also 2-year T-notes yielding 6.7% and a few high-rated corporate preferred's yielding over 8%. At some point yields begin to siphon funds from stocks. We've seen that a 6.25% long-bond yield hasn't "killed" the flow of funds into equities, but beyond 6.3 or 6.5% it could become a real problem. The mere "perception" that rates are going higher is sometimes enough to spark a nasty correction. (Lee)
