Brian, I think Bagley's guidance for this Q EPS during
last conference call was 50 cents per share, not 60 cents.
I see some modest upside: I am expecting about 53 to 55
cents. But If they hit 60 cents, LAM is then having another
blowout Q. (WOW, that would be super!!)..

The key for LAM in the future business is its ability to
penetrate and grow market share in the critical oxide etch and CMP segment
of the business. LAM has a solid market share position
in the poly and metal (together conductor) etch segment.
But as copper deposition business grows, growth in dual damescene oxide etch and CMP market segment will outpace that of conductor etch market. LAM really needs to realign marketing strategy so that they can really go after these
market segments.

In a long term, I would love to see LAM get into deposition
business (acquisition). I remember distinctly Bagley's
comment on how LAM needs metal deposition business to grow
to a multi-billion dollar company when LAM announced him
as a new CEO. I hope that he still hold that vision to
grow LAM as a multi-billion top tier semi-equip. company.
