PB,

Re:"coppermine matching Athlon"

I haven't seen any benchmarks real or imagined that show Coppermine being "close" to AThlon on the FP stuff.
The coppermine "projected - optimized" scores seem to be well below the "projected AThlon 700 scores with optimization".

Regarding clock speeds - well 733 is whats expected.

It will be interesting to see how fast AMD can push the Athlon before the 0.18 Athlons show up in a few weeks.

In addition I hope that on Oct 25 the reviewers will review real systems.

If 820/camino systems are not released it will be unfair to have unreleased camino systems compared to regular Athlon systems.

If you noticed the recent 600B machines were all reviewed with the RDRAM memory and camino vs AThlon while real systems are using the 810e board. In fact I haven't seen an 810e vs AThlon review - perhaps you can point to one.

regards,

Kash
