SAP cuts 1999 revenue forecast to 15-20% from 20-25% target. The time to announce that was very bad.

SAP,re:"OT. Patent". How many unique ways a HUMAN BEING can
come up with do similar/identical things, at different
part of the world, society, company. One get the chance/
desire to file a patent (for money, majority of the time)
and the others just think it's natural.

This is almost a violation of 'personal thinking'. Even
though I'm coding in a clean environment, I maybe harassed
by law of violating someone's patent if the other person
takes the time to file. 'Hierachical': Unix has been doing
it many/many years. If you are reasonable human-being,
you evolve/learn to do the 'right thing'.

Anyway, none of my business. This 'patent' thing has been
on my mind for so long, finally, the steam is out. Forget
it. <EOM>
