Good point, but you aren't on the receiving end of that particular belief, otherwise, I warrant, you'd find it stranger than others. I've become acutely aware of class, myself, since moving into my new house. Our old neighborhood was quite homogenous, but on my new street, at one end are houses worth perhaps $100,000 more than mine, and at the other end are houses worth perhaps $100,000 less, and at the expensive end, several undeveloped acres are now being developed, no doubt for even more expensive houses. I haven't really got to know my neighbors, but am watching for signs of a pecking order based on cost of houses, how could there not be?
