Thanks the the ECN/ARCA explanation. I can see where it might be helpful in "special situations." The way I trade, 1/6 or 1/8 difference doesn't matter. A good trade will absorb it, a poor trade will still be a poor trade. The reason I like Datek is that I can enter a market order (or limit within the spread) click on the activity page and within 7-10 seconds I've got confirmation of my fill. This is important when I want in or out quickly. Unfortunately, Datek has a very limited "short" list. Another nettlesome Datek wrinkle; If you're long 200 shares at say $40 and you've got a sell-stop for those 200 at 38, you have to first cancel the stop before you can sell the stock. I'm amazed at how many on-line firms I've tried that are so poorly set up for traders. Have you looked into Merrill's recent plan? For a $1500 annual fee, you can trade as often as you want, commission free. I'll be calling them to see if it's any good. I'll let you know. (Lee)

PHCM, tried to cover short 206 5/8, missed. I'll have to renege on my promise to eat my laptop if PHCM runs 25 today. But I will devour my WEB-tv. A little salt, a little pepper, some chale on the side...may not be too bad. Hang in there. (Lee)

Jenna, I was under the impression from a post of yours quite a while ago that the earnings dates of companies on your calendar where verified by someone calling IR of each company. CY was supposedly to report yesterday based on your calendar and I haven't seen anything yet. :-( Are you verifying the earnings dates ?

Thanks ,, Kurt
