64 bit lock up simulations? Crisp and snappy blue screens?

Waitaminute... if Sun is running Solaris on a Intel Me- conium (whatever) simulator, how could Intel be running a vapor hairball simulation ON a simulation? Is the whole thing just a product of a Intel engineers with too much Ultra on their desks, and too much free time? <g>

bulletin!! bulletin!! somebody on the thread has asked a probing question about the competitive landscape.

ct, win64 is the 64 bit version of windows 2000. They have said it will be ready six months after the regular version arrives. so expect it on the shelf at cdw, oh, maybe march of 2001. <g>

ye...there is only one problem with that...that is a pentium emulating Itanium(Merced) via software...they still don't have a real chip...
