What I got from intc's comment was that they believe they have the problem solved, but have got to go through the validation process. That is the same process they were going through that hit them in the face last time.

The point is that it doesn't really matter whether intel is "spinning" or not, there is uncertainty right up until the chipset begins to ship in volume. That is recognized by everyone by now, I think. So, no need to beat a dead horse.
