OT:
Personally I am equally ashamed of these coward millitary.
As you put it, "in this day and age" whom are they trying to fool. Information spreads faster than they think and act.
The ultimate loser are poor people whose toil ends in Generals' toilets and moronic pride. Whatever deficiency Mr. Sharif has, it has to be punished by the people not by a bunch of gun weilding pupets. I know Mr. Sharif made some wrong movements - knowingly or unknowingly- but he also had guts to start weeding some extreme elements. This is the price he has to pay for being such a forward looking person.
Based on this generals background (Military college graduate
and was a hard soldier) I am not sure what his vision and where he will take your nation. Let us wait and see.
Clearly mere $1.4B in reserve cannot last long without a
conducive admosphere from outside financial institutions and their initial reactions are strong disapproval of military.
Let us hope they will go back to barracks and may be in our life time Pakistani people will clip the wings of these military complex to depend your nation not the Generals
selfish behavior and their cohorts.
