I rather enjoy my lifestyle here. Walking distance to the beach, two maids, work at home... a dollar income helps. Besides, I like paddling in warm water. Going back is sometimes difficult for me. People seem so... so placid, so secure in the notion that all that they have was won by their own merit, and can never be lost. I feel like they could use a good coup d'etat, or a volcano, just to wake them up. Not true of everybody, of course. And I've always been a bit of a chaos junkie. This is a great place for a libertarian. Plenty of government, but none of it works. Out on the streets it's freedom in the raw sense of the word. Where have you been in the Philippines?
