I'd bet that British Airways got a sweet deal from Airbus, since everybody had previously thought that Boeing was favored for the order. As an investor, I'm glad to see the Boeing spokesman state that Boeing was holding to their guns, and wouldn't make a deal for a sale that didn't return value to the shareholders. As an employee, I sure hate to see the business go to a rival.
Maybe after this year after Airbus has the bragging rights for getting the most orders, they'll come to their senses, and start using a true business model for running their organization. Looking forward to seeing their earnings statement for the year.

I've noticed in the past that the Wall Street Journal tends to downplay good news for boeing, and exagerate the bad news.
