Notice the long bond lately? Peaking yields or value breakdown? Gold is being held down by the fed by the looks of the trading pattern -- damage control a smooth descent for financial markets and a slower rise for gold -- lets see how well they do at holding gold back from 350 and then 380. If only the fed could create "paper oil" then the price of oil would have stopped at $18 bucks. There is a danger in managing the market. It creates further imbalances. Tere is far too much managing going on -- perhaps it is the curse of the Asian crisis -- the ends justify the means.
