Spacey is incredible, "The Usual Suspects" was killer and "The Ref" is one of those movies that I can watch every couple of months. "American Beauty" is better in my book though. And it wasn't only Spacey, Annette Bening was intense and the daughter, her friend and the guy that played Ricky Fitts as well as the Colonel. And what about the sublime performance by Ricky's Mom?

And the plastic bag against that blood red wall was intensely beautiful. What a vision.

The imagery and symbolism throughout was first class.

A warning for those with delicate sensibilities, this movie dances on the edge of a lot of taboos. It had me squirming a couple of times. I think that it was a key part of the storyline though.

Listening to Luscious Jackson "Electric Honey" in the office with the headphones on. "ladyfinger" and "Fantastic Fabulous" are my faves.
