Felix, I sold all my INTC in the mid-80's based on long term factors. I think their approach to the RMBS is a joke. I think their entry into server-farms is an also-ran strategy in a very competitive field where they lack talent and have a very late start. I also doubt they'll be smart enough to make use of the best technology, e.g. web switches, since they'll be trying to maximize the use of their Titanic chips. Their engineering skills are routinely compromised by cutting corners and a rush to get products to market. Their manufacturing technology is usually a generation behind as they do not blaze any new trails and leave the discovery and debugging of new technologies and equipment to others, i.e. copy cats.

As for fund managers they'll have a real problem when forced to sell stock due to redemptions. The market has been undergoing distribution all year and the big cap stocks have served to mask this. We've entered a bear market and a new generation of investors is going to learn what it means to watch their stocks and funds go down day after day, week after week, and month after month.
