Yes, we've had this discussion before. I put more faith in leading indicators such as aftermarket, GLOBEX, and foreign markets than you do.

In any case I am long MU rather than INTC at this time. Times with rising memory prices are not usually a good time to invest in INTC. This is because if computer prices stop falling or start to rise consumers and businesses tend to delay purchases. As a result times with rising memory prices put added pressure on INTC to reduce CPU prices.

In my experience, INTC tends to have substantial upside surprises when DRAM is falling, and have a tough time meeting expectations when DRAM is rising. DRAM will eventually start back down, and that will be a good sign for INTC.
