Robert,>>>As I see it, Intel's recent results are nothing short of extraordinary. <<<

Basically, I don't disagree with you. Intel is one of the most profitable companies in the world, but it's valuation at 36 time earnings is rather low when compared to others (MSFT 65, YAHOO 695, AMAT 131, LU 71, and MU and LSI without any earnings).

But, something else is also wrong . Analysts are not making these estimates out of thin air. They are getting guidance from the company. Either the company is real lousy at forecasting their business 90 days out (which I doubt is the case) or they are just not communicating with the investment community properly.

In any case, I think Andy Bryant should should be moving on. He has had a long and distinguished career at Intel, but the world and the investment community are changing rapidly.

Andy probably has all the right answers, but he probably can't tell you why the investment community (just read the posts on this thread, watch all the tv programs -CNBC, CNN, Bloomberg, et al -, and read the financial print and Internet Media) - they are all telling us that Intel missed the quarter - implying that Intel did poorly - which in my opinion is not the case.

But, I am most disappointed with the Intel apologists on this thread. Intel is not all things to all people. It does most things extraordinarily well, but communicating with the investment community is not one of them.

As a constructive shareholder, I say lets fix the things that need fixing. Communications with the investment community is wacko. Let's fix it.
