About a month ago, I wrote that I felt that LSI was fully valued at sixty, since it was selling at twenty-five times next years high estimate earnings. Indeed, the $2.50 estimate for next year seems likely rather than the current consensus. The question becomes, what is the low end, and the historic answer has always been 17 times earnings on very rare occasions. Thus, it would seem that if one is an intermediate picker who believes in buying within ten percent of the bottom, then today's price presents an excellent opportunity.

cb,

On Aug 3rd LSI touched 45 1/2 closing at 47 1/8. My guess would be a low of 46 1/2 with a close above 47. Barring a market meltdown this is about as low as I can see it going. Interest rates are the wild card. Long term I agree with Jock, this is a good buy right now.
