Paul Engel: Sad to see that you have bceome emotionally attached to a stock (Intel). One must differentiate between a great company and a great stock. Intel is a great company and will be the dominant chipmaker for as far as the eye can see. However, it is badly lagging the Nasdaq index return of 28% YTD. Couple this with its high volatility and the uncertainty any chipmaker has from quarter-to-quarter in meeting Wall St. estimates and you have a stock with a poor risk-reward ratio. The only error in my post was in assigning a timetable of six months; in truth, there are better places to park one's money, period.
