RE:"Interesting post from MS at Lost CIrcuits BB.
By MS on Tuesday, October 12, 1999 - 09:09 pm:

"Intel has instructed certain manufacturers not to ship Athlon boards
except for a limited contingent that
goes to a few system (er, brand) manufacturers. In one case it is 10,000
boards, in other words, the old
blackmail is back. Almost looks like I will have to host a few more BIOS
files in the near future""..

Interestingly, ABIT has posted a release saying they aren't going to make any K7 motherboards because they (K7s) aren't condusive to the "retail" market at this time. That K7s are good only for the OEM market at this time and ABIT doesn't deal too much in the OEM market.
I wish I could find the link...

At any rate does this all sound like a load of crapola to anyone else?
Sounds like there might be a deal between Intel and Abit...
