So PCLN is suing MSFT, based on patent infringement. Does anyone have any idea how broad that patent is? Can they sue Budget Rent A Car, who has name your own price for their cars? This will get a little obtuse, but how about auction sites, where everyone names their price they are willing to pay? Or real estate purchases, where price is negotiated between seller and buyer through an agent?

Has anyone seen a legal position on how defensible this patent may be (not just the biased corporate VP's pounding the table with their own interests in mind)? What is everyone's opinion?
