Thanks for the post. If you may let me comment: you stated:
'I believe CY will have a tough time turning a profit anytime soon.'

Well they already turned a profit from the Annual earnings report released last week. Not much of a profit but at least a profit as opposed to mega losses due to 2 city launches as seen by many startup projects from public companies.

Secondly you mentioned 'promo hype last time around'. I beg to differ. I remember discussing my differences to CY to Paul and his predecessor. They really don't want to hype - they wanted to let the financials speak for themselves.
IMO I believe they went too low on the 'anti-promo hype'exercise this time and the lack of market reaction on the last earnnings is proof.
Its a fine line between too much and not enough promo on the stock.
IMO they need Market Makers. They also stated repeatedly that they are upset over what daytraders do to this stock. If they're upset with what has happened so far wait when it hits the $10 mark. The different investors entering at that point are quite more aggressive than the present daytraders and shorters. Hell there is even evidence now that MMs are paying bashers $5 to $7 US to bash public company threads because they know what that can do for their own investing desires on the stock.(This is where good outgoing IR from company is needed for daily investor inquiries )What it all boils down to is that CY is not a private but a public corporation and management has to act and play accordingly.
I am still long - I am still waiting for email or a phone reply especially concerning their present business plan for the Cdn expansion and if they have a different american expansion business plan than the present marketing tactic - all of which will determine my holding status.
IMO one thing for sure - if their proprietary software is exclusively good at attracting advertisers (as it presently seems) and while becoming the biggest national ISP and a FREE one at that in Canada - the present price due to lack of promo which displays a far difference than some of the present US contenders - makes the company succeptible to a CHEAP buyout takeover leaving us investors possibly collecting peanuts instead of steak.
Once again I'm not pushing negatively but playing the devil's advocate as an investor with my own hard earned dollars.
Paul or George please call me.
