Forget AG for a second. Lease rates are up. Say you control the gold reserves of Brunei. Let's also assume you let other people worry about the stability of the global economy. Do you take advantage of the higher rates and increase leasing activity? If not, why not?

I agree that intervention is unlikely to succeed. I actually think the Euro. Central Bankers were, in their own way, intervening in the market to facilitate IMF debt forgiveness and decrease the risk that the producers they deal with would go under.

Anyway, let's leave it there. I am willing to defer to your expertise in this area.
