VIXL, BRCD, and others should have a nice day tomorrow thanks to EMLX's blowout earnings.

Thanks brandy, I have 3,000 companies now in front of me reporting next week, you can ask Long John, he also gets this report. After sifting through them (the third time since I used another source for the dates so its obviously not the first time).. I up to Wednesday, Our favorite plays still stand out.. I've gotten some pleasant surprises one of which would have led me to hold BVSN from August 6 through October 11 with as much funds as I could have mustered up instead of a modest hold, had I known beforehand. I didn't realize what a fabulous company it really was even though it was my favorite. I hope it pulls back for another run.

By next earnings or even probably next month (actually every month is earnings because it takes 3 months for all the companies to report), we'll try our new system. But this is more than one person can handle if you want it as successful as possible.

This is one of the best seasons we've had, save for the last with the nets, if you count the middle of September when the first of the newsletters for October earnings came out. I have plans for refinement, improvement and most of all for a way to track these plays together more fluidly. It is obvious with EMLX today and AUDC yesterday that we have a lion potential out there with these plays, but its a team effort, but its Market Gems effort and not just the subscribers. I dont expect the subscribers to do all the analysis which is where the newsletters come in, but we do need a common area where we can go for technical data of where the play is at any point in time. I can understand Kurt expecting the dates to be accurate as there is no way he could know that its still difficult area. I am looking at dates in next weeks report from First Call and finding some of the same companies that appeared in last weeks report so I'm assuming some companies called First Call and changed their report date.

By next season we will integrate a new system and that's exciting because I trade myself and would like someone to 'collaborate' with and share ideas also, especially professional traders with a team of programmers that could actualize my ideas quickly.

Anyhow until then we have two big weeks ahead of us and if the market cooperates good earnings reports from high profile companies like APPL will bring the tech sector up much like INTC brought it down today. Whether we like earnings plays or not we can't deny how the outcome influences the entire market and actually the markets of the entire world as their markets get dragged down also.

Brandy,

. I personally call the company when I'm involved in an earnings play, and even then don't always get accurate information. It's only a phone call after all, and you're still not guaranteed correct info

That's the best way to do it... and if you're playing with big money, you should be calling everyday, even if it means angering the IR, until you get something definite. Some company have a habit of reporting outside the scheduled date also...

Regards,
SF
