All I have heard is that a man named Tice from The Prudent Bear Fund released a report regarding Tyco and the type of accounting that Tyco uses for most of its mergers. I do not know if Tice accused Tyco of anything; he may have merely raised concerns regarding this type of accounting.

There was a good discussion some time ago on the Yahoo thread about the two most commonly used types of accounting for mergers&acquisitions. I will have to review my notes before I say anything about it with confidence (its pretty far from my area of expertise). However, the techniques were legal. This is nothing new.

Tyco has responded by refuting all allegations of improprieties and by arranging an early morning conference call for analysts tomorrow.

IMHO all the facts are not in but I am encouraged by Tyco's response. The market is very twitchy right now. If anybody got some shares at $90 or below you just might turn out to be the smart ones. This is all MHO.
