I get the feeling 3Com/Palm will surprise alot of naysayers in the coming months. It's gonna be one big global Palm-A-Rama.

Lucky or not, EB's plan is talking hold and I think I like it.

Kyros,

I seriously doubt that Microsoft will want to dirty its hands with hardware manufacturing

I agree - I don't think they will. They will focus on building a competitive OS and then use their (dare I say) monopoly leverage and investment strength to place their "CE+" in the right places to get market. I would suspect their first target will be companies like Handspring that are having difficulty competing or differentiating given all the other's using PALM OS and PALM itself. JMO.

Microsoft's Consumer Products division (mice, joysticks, and keyboards) is one of the top 15 computer product manufacturers in the world.
