Gator, I'm not sure what you're trying to communicate here by advising "it's time to cover". Do you mean investors should cover their short positions by going long or are you suggesting they short certain gaming stocks?

Also, I wouldn't be surprised if there is Russian influence amongst some of the web operators, however, I am not aware of any specific sites. VGAM has had problems with the SEC at least and they are a Starnet licensee with several web sites.

The October 18, 1999 issue of Newsweek magazine describes the raid on Starnet and the ties of its original (and former) founder to the Hell's Angels and closed on the statement that online gambling is big business perceived by Canada as an illegal enterprise and mentions the stake in online gambling is now higher. I don't recall any mention of Russians or the mafia in the article which no doubt they would have included if there was suspicion. Also, there are at least several WSJ reporters who camp out on Silicon Investor and Raging Bull. Maybe you should suggest they drop in for a cocktail on Starnet Island.<g>
