I also saw the VP of Marketing ( Seth G ) from Yahoo speak at the Philly Convention Center. He explained that Marketing is shifting from the hunter to the farmer; e.g. give permission to the customer; another example ; Amazon.com knows that 4 million of its customers bought a Tom Clancy book; they make an agreement with Tom to write a book in a week and send a permission button to these people and 1 million buy @ $40 each for $18 million in profit.
