In what way is Aleksandr Lebed a nut? If you use an epithet like that, you should be prepared to back up your assertion. If you can't, you're just blowing smoke.

Actually, I read an extensive interview with Lebed in the Washington Post a couple of years ago, and have read several articles in various political journals about him, and he is not a nut. He is an authoritarian, although he does not seem to want to entirely abrogate democracy. He seems smart and patriotic, and the best of several authoritarian alternatives, although not better than those committed to reform....
