The estimated retail price is $99.99 according to the October 1 press release (includes contacts). Of course, the computer is an integral part of the apparatus as far as Intel is concerned <g>:

Magnification levels are approximate and have been measured using a 15 in. (38cm.) monitor. Actual magnification will vary according to the size of your monitor.

Though, if Intel makes the image sensor chip (?), they could still profit from a stand-alone version. Hooking up with Intel seems like a good long-term strategy by Mattel. Investors must be focussing on the short-term...
