Replacing the Feast of Passover with the Body and Blood of Christ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Bible Verses (RcV) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Matthew 26:26 ...Jesus took bread and blessed it, and He broke it and gave it to the disciples and said, Take, eat; this is My body. 1 Cor. 10:16 ...The bread which we break, is it not the fellowship of the body of Christ? (17) Seeing that there is one bread, we who are many are one Body; for we all partake of the one bread. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Words of Ministry ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The bread of the Lord's table is a symbol signifying the Lord's physical body broken for us on the cross to release His life that we may participate in it. By participating in this life we become the mystical Body of Christ (1 Cor. 12:27), which is also signified by the bread of the table. Hence, by partaking of this bread, we have the fellowship of the Body of Christ. The bread on the table firstly signifies the Lord's physical body that was crucified on the cross. But after His resurrection, this body became mysterious, for it was enlarged into His mystical Body. According to John chapter two, the Jews killed His physical body, but it was resurrected in a mysterious way to become His mystical Body. The Lord's mystical Body comprises all of us. Therefore, when we see the bread at the Lord's table, we need to realize that it is a symbol both of the Lord's physical body and His mystical Body. For this reason, when we break the bread and eat it, we have the fellowship of the Lord's Body. All the members of Christ's mystical Body are represented in the loaf. Therefore, at His table, we enjoy not only the Lord Jesus, but also the believers. In other words, we enjoy Christ and the church. Both Christ and the church are our enjoyment. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A Prayer ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Thank You for Your body, Lord Jesus, broken on the cross for me. By this, Lord, Your life was released so I can be part of Your mystical Body. Lord, as _____ participates in Your life, bring them more into the enjoyment of both You and Your Body, the church. HTM, You said: " regarding the 2nd law of thermo - remember that there may be, and I believe - are - higher levels of order that are not observable by man." It gives me joy to see that you are a bible student and serious searcher of truth. I also stand corrected about the fall of man effecting all creation. We know from God's revelations that there are seraphims, cherubims, angels and archangels, but are they "higher" orders as you imply? The fall of man probably did not have a direct effect upon these created orders. God's Revelations also tells us that man's creation was very special since we were created in the image and likeness of God and have the power to become the sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. In this unity with God, man shares the highest order with Father, Son and Holy Spirit by God's design. Man the creature shares in the Godhead through our oneness with Christ.
