Bruce, I agree a blessing. As far as what made them do a better job? I think we had men praying in closets more rather than wanting the POWER of an organized state religion with oh... bout the same as ...oh...say a Pharisee? :o) Remember how Jesus spoke of them? You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you: "'These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men.'" The men were running from that very kind of power in Europe. And they made sure that a "state religion" had no power(only of men) here. dan
