Now people again quote the tiny little piece "but to fulfil" and they CLAIM that Jesus did away with the LAW. He fulfilled it !!! Well wait.. how can he say "Think not that I am come to destroy the law" but I'm going to do away with it by fulfilling it. Is it still wrong to MURDER ?? Of course it is. Is it still wrong to commit ADULTERY ?? It would appear that even those Christians who think that Jesus did away with the Law Still expect at least some of those laws to be in effect... Lets examine what Jesus says plainly about "THE LAW" Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, Jesus is not saying. Till earth passes away or I get crucified whichever comes first and oh by the way I am getting crucified right away so forget about the heaven and earth part.... NOW DON... I am going to show you how I approach "the Law" Be right back Ei YI YI... got a big big family...

What I have observed about most people thinking in America is that they will ask you "Are you in Love or did you get married ? " :-] In other word they believe you are either in love or married but you cannot be both... They will also ask you " Are you saved by grace or are you Under the LAW " Under the law is taken from this verse ( I'm sure you know it ) Romans 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. So NOT UNDER LAW but UNDER GRACE ok very good: Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: BUT what else does that very scripture say ?? For sin shall not have dominion over you What is SIN ??? 1 John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. 1 John 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Notice what Jesus DID DESTROY Jesus was made manifest to DESTROY the works of the DEVIL. Sin is breaking the LAW of GOD that will stand without one jot or tittle being destroyed until ALL THINGS BE FULFILLED Math5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Now here is a very interesting thing.. A lot of Christian will run around saying that Jesus did away with the law.... Then they will tell someone they should quit smoking so much because it is a SIN So if the guy says no its not.. it;s not even in the Bible.. They will then say Well you killing yourself and that is againt the command Thou shalt not kill... They are a walking contradiction... Theologically they hate the law as much as unbelievers but Practically they love it.. and why ??? Romans 7:12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good. Is GOD HOLY JUST AND GOOD Hmmmmm seems to be a link ??? Now I have been quoted "WE ARE NOT UNDER THE LAW" until I could puke and why because that is not quoteing scripture... It is Butchering it.. Look at the parts in the following that I highlight... Look at the car right from the front bumper to the the back bumper sticker. Romans3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. 21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; 22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: 23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; 24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; 26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. 27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? And just what did the BUMPER STICKER SAY???? *We establish the law.* So then JUST MAYBE A man can be married and in love and JUST MAYBE a man can believe in the LAW of GOD ... Or maybe even LOVE IT.... Psalms 119:165 Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them. Without actually having to be "UNDER IT " A man may with the apostle Paul " ESTABLISH THE LAW " and still be Born Again !!! Indeed can you even imagine a man who is not spirit filled saying that they LOVE THE LAW OF GOD ????? Well wait you will say to me what gives... The law it says is done away with in Hebrews.. and in Matthew it says it will "NEVER PASS AWAY" O-kay EVERYONE I found a contradiction let's all go home it all a big joke Bibles not true after all :-] The car was not made of Steel I found some cloth right here..... Some Time ago .. I was about 30 years old. God really put a scripture in my heart. 2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.<?B> One of the worst things I found out was that the following was right: 2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, ( I can hear them now Ya and that's you Brian ) The hardest task I have found in being "careful how you hear" is not getting stuck by thinking that I've got it.... and becoming unteachable. The next hardest is to get rid of those things you "think" are true and have been taught that are not ! The first mistake people make is that they do not rightly divide the word. They Divide the BIBLE.... Into Old testament and New Testament... Then they are taught that the OLD is of no effect or meaning any more That's the Old Covenant. Just very interesting History you can read some time if there's nothing on TV... And with one blow The Devil helps them divide the BIBLE RIGHT in Half.. Well maybe even more than half :-] I said all that to say this and sorry.... How was Adam saved ??? God made a blood sacrifice and cover him in the animals skin... a robe of Righteousness provided by GOD ! How was Abel saved: Hebrews 11:4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, What happened to Cain.. he offered How was Noah ( and his family )saved: Hebrews 11:7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; How was Moses ( you know that dirty old legalist ) saved: Hebrews 11:23 By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents, because they saw he was a proper child; and they were not afraid of the king's commandment. Hebrews 11:27 By faith he forsook Egypt Moses was not only filled with faith but had FAITHFUL PARENTS a SPIRITUAL HERITAGE His parents risked death because of their faith... oh how it must greave the Holy Spirit to hear how some modern Christians Boast about being so much better than this man :-{ So then the Old Testament is not just LAW and the New Testament is not just Faith. Well then how is it that the first thing God showed us was that two twins could be born into the same environment, under the same circumstance, under the same teaching, and one of them please God and the other NOT. THE GIFT OF FAITH Did the LAW Thou shalt not KILL apply to both Cain and Able ....Yes. Was it required that they offer sacrifice to GOD YES. God had shown Adam that a blood sacrifice was required and promised that the messiah would crush the Devils head and that the Devil would Bruise his heel ( crucifixion ). WHY WHY WHY was there a difference? The bible teaches that CAIN was of that wicked one ! ( A Goat ) 1 John 3:12 Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. Abel was a spirit filled believer. He was given the GIFT of Faith... It was not of himself lest he should boast. Where am I going... There are two ETERNAL COVENANTS This may be one of the most critical things for anyone to know. 1. Covenant of WORKS 2. Covenant of GRACE When did they start.... They are both Eternal and existed before the world began and before Satan ( Lucifer ) was created.... The Bible says that the angels (Except for the Elect Ones) sinned under the covenant of works.. they broke the law and sinned against God and got kicked out !!! The Elect angel were given the grace to resist the temptations Lucifer gave them . They were under the covenant of Grace but They were also under the covenant of works. Cain and all of mankind is under the covenant of works. The covenant of works has LAW and requires PERFECT OBEDIENCE ! If any man ever came into the world and never sinned God would have to let him into heaven. The covenant of GRACE has LAW it also requires perfect obedience look: 1 Peter 1:16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. BUT... God has also provided a LAW KEEPER to keep the LAW on men's behalf... Guess who... THE LAW GIVER HIMSELF Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Jesus - UNDER the LAW of the Covenant of WORKS Kept the LAW PERFECTLY for all those whom GOD has chosen !!!! Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. Don Fulfil does not mean destroy... it means to KEEP to OBEY Praise be to GOD for the Law Giver Has perfectly FULFILLED the LAW for all those who believe. Therefore WE ESTABLISH THE LAW Are we saved by our obedience Nay Are we saved by Christs obedience Yah and Yahoo... Romans 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? Romans 6:2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Psalm 119:160 ¶ Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever. And of the Law... Hi Don and sorry that Later is so much later. I left one message saying that there is a "contradiction" between Math 5:18 and Hebrews 7:12 It was perhaps bad humour and was not wise to just leave it at that but rather to have explained that there are "Contradictions" and "Apparent Contradictions" There are no Real Contradictions in the scriptures. I hope that we are in agreement that when Jesus said : John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me That he means also Adam and Abel and Abraham et al . Some one might say "But they didn't have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ " Say what ??? David says: my Lord is that not personal ?? Mark 12:36 For David himself said by the Holy Ghost, The LORD said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool. The Father and son are both mentioned in that quote. The Spirt in this: Psalms 51:11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. Or to speak of the oldest book in the bible the Book of JOB. What did Job KNOW in the darkest and deepest hours of despair. Job 19:25 For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: Again Job says my REDEEMER... Want to get a Jew saved... Just start asking questions about "Kinsman Redeemer" and the Weeks of Daniel :-} The Holy Ghost was in them as well as us because Christ was PROMISED before the world began. The world was made After, God had saved the Elect ! 1 Peter 1:20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, Titus 1:2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; I put Forth This Conclusion... That there have always been two covenants... : === THE COVENANT OF WORKS & THE COVENANT OF GRACE === The covenant of works has never changed.. OBEY all of GODS LAW PERFECTLY and LIVE The covenant of grace has never changed and has always changed ! There we go again with this "contradiction" It is true that "all who come unto the father" come unto him by Faith in Jesus Christ Alone... Men may not have known him by that name .. Job knew Him as Redeemer. There are posters of names for this Saviour. Blessed Redeemer is no different that Jesus Christ, Prince of Peace. However we must admit that the blood of sheep and bulls saves no one: Hebrews 10:4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. However those things were offered under the Sacrificial or Cerimonial Laws that God gave men as types and shadow of He who was to come Jesus Christ. Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: Faith in what ??? Genesis 22:8 And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together. John 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. Now did not God say in "the Law" that we should celebrate the Passover every year ??? Here is the secret: The covenant of Grace has had many modes of application. Abel in a field who know where ?? Moses and Aaron with an alter in the wilderness. The temple worship later reveal to David ! Why is it an option to circumcise our sons in this day ??? Because that was commanded and part of the cerimonial law of === The Old Covenant === and not the New Covenant We do not circumcise we Baptise We do not partake of Passover We have the Lord's Supper Jeremiah 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Hebrews 8:13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away. All of this PROVES that "the LAW" did change. but what is meant by "the Law" when talking about these "kinds" of things. Are these MORAL LAWS the same as the Ten Commandments ??? Is " you shalt circumcise" the same as "Thou shalt have no other gods before me" NO One is the JUST GOOD HOLY and UNCHANGING REFLECTION of GOD'S Moral Righteousness. The other was a reflection of God's progressing and CHANGING plan of Redemption !!! I make ( and this is not of myself ) the distinction of MORAL LAW and CERIMONIAL LAW ! There is no CONTRADICTION because the phrase "the LAW" is not being used to speak of the SAME THING ! Look at this verse where Paul teaches that Circumcision is of "the LAW" Phil 3:5 Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee; Now look in another place...Paul says: 1 Corinthians 7:19 Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God. Circumcision is nothing... it was something... IT WAS the Cerimonial Law of GOD well then is BAPTISM also NOTHING ?? no IT IS the Cerimonial LAW of GOD So then we have TWO great Covenents ONE of LAW ( Jesus alone was successful ) and ONE of GRACE ( the elect only are successful but not of their own strength or will ) But we also have a NEW COVENANT of GRACE and an OLD COVENANT of GRACE. So much so that those who serve the OLD are in SIN !!! Why ??? Because to serve under the old is to deny that the Kinsman Redeemer has come !!! That the type and shadows have been replaced with the ===Blessed Reality - Christ Jesus Crucified !!! === Hebrews 13:10 We have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat which serve the tabernacle. We can no longer please God under the Old Covenant of Grace Oh oh That last one will get me in trouble... I think I'll split for a bit :-} I will prove later that "fulfil" means to Obey and to Fill UP not "do away with"
