I'll throw out one more item of concern: If Intel DOES get a Rambus solution out there relatively quickly, and there are insufficient RIMMs to fill the slots.

Remembering what my bias is, I hope Intel is doing whatever it takes to facilitate adequate Rambus memory supply.

What "rumors of coppermine compatibility problems " are you referring to - aside from Steve Porter's comments on VIAs 133 PRO chip set ?
