DJ:" savings "

Yes, it's true - most Americans consider their "savings" to be their retirement accounts (stock funds, typical), and their real estate - rather than "savings accounts" or other time deposits.

I have a problem with global comparisons of American Workers' "savings rates" compared to EU, Japan.

I also have a problem with LIFO comparisons of American Workers' "income" and "spending" statistics. Happy to resume debate with my esteemed colleague-dude from the EU (^_^)

>you guys are too pesimistic - we made a pile of money last few years, have we not? So what's 20% off 200% profits ?

{grin} true; but we reserve the right to have whine with our +30% YTD CORE gain cheese ;-)
