While today's news is good, it should not be a surprise to anyone as Bruce said a few qtrs ago, "our relationship with Yamaha is more than just a foundry arrangement". In response to the Yahoo discussion, it should also be no surprise that xicor needs to partner with bigger players.

This is not a slam on xicor employees, but lets face it, a company with xicor's history ($100mm+ of losses during this massive semi boom over the last 20 years) is not going to be attractive to top notch EE's. That being said, they need to partner with other companies and I wouldn't be surprised to see additional arrangements - maybe ZMD and/or Sanyo?

Bring on the earnings and cc. We need a status report. I will stick with my 3-4 cent loss for the qtr and pray that they take the restructuring charge and get it behind them. However, I am not holding my breath.
