This posted only to spark interest/debate -
It seems to me that for GMGC to participate in the kind of products and services Gates seems to be envisioning, GMGC's current technological platform will have to be moved from the NOC to a chip, or chip set. The current NOC model simply will not be pratical (or practicable) in autos, appliances, homes, etc. Do any of the techies on this thread feel confident in saying that the Magic Talk code, or at least subsets of it, can in fact be transported to a chip/chip set? Surely, Markman et al have considered this (oh how I hope so!), but I cannot recall ever hearing it mentioned, even as wild speculation on this thread. Thoughts, anyone?
