There were rumblings that INTC was going to buy DSP in the week past. I made that call off the chart taking in the consideration health of the market, reading charts in my mind is very subjective, with a lot of self fulfillment in them, but they do reflect what is going on with company and how investors are reacting to the news at hand or unseen. No I wasn't expecting INTC announcement to happen, but I'm a firm believer that news is priced in way before us little guys find out. I bought QCOM in the first place off of what I was seeing reflected in QCOM's chart in first half of this year. Also, one has to see and understand what is happening in the sector and the market. Here are my first two post on the QCOM thread. <<To: brian h (23801 ) From: Gregory Mullineaux Sunday, Mar 7 1999 2:28AM ET Reply # of 44696 Is that PE right, you mean forward, I believe, still in the 20s is low for me.. It's hard for me to invest in companies that have a PE that is less then 50 or even have PE. <ggg> Too bad there is the court case to worry about, it looms large, still the market is a gamble no matter what you invest in. Greg-->Ready gamble on monday I'll have to buy little, and average up as the story comes out.. By the way, nice on topic thread you all have here, very technical, and stock action oriented.. I'll try not to muddy the waters too much.. <gg>>> They were very unhappy I showed up at the time. <<To: DaveMG (23815 ) From: Gregory Mullineaux Sunday, Mar 7 1999 7:35PM ET Reply # of 44698 Somebody has to drive the stock higher, might as well be me to start it off. <ggg> I have been preaching to the DELL thread about hand held devices taken away from the desk top. The client server model is changing, this year is a transition year. We are going to see many more devices connected to the net then PCs. I also m feel this is the year of bandwidth. That's why I hold the stocks I do. I'm just putting my money where my mouth has been.. You should be happy I'm here, more will follow.. You are right though, QCOM will have to prove to me every day that's it's going to produce. I'm not looking for 10, 20% or 30% gain in a year,I have that with CSCO, LU, and DELL, I'm looking north of 50%, I see QCOM doing that from here if the law suit plays out ok...I feel it's worth the bet.. Greg--->QCOM,LU,CSCO,ATHM,AOL,DELL,BCST,RMBS,EMC this is what I own.. >> At the time QCOM was breaking out from a very nice base, the market was coming to terms and someone knew that the Infur. division was about to be sold I was seeing it in the chart. Just like INTC buying DSP. Greg
