It's good in the contents of some other then a phone manufacturer buy DSP, say MOT, who then would get a better deal on royalties. It is also good since INTC will be able to drive and spread out the use of CDMA chips, say to the mother broad of lap tops and handhelds with built in CDMA functions. It is bad in the contents of QCOM having to fight INTC efficiency in manufacturing driving the cost down making the ASIC manufacturing a commodity one, forcing QCOM out of the very lucrative manufacturing of ASICs. The last one puts forth the following question. Will it be a zero sum game, plus, or a negative, for QCOM if the get out the manufacturing of ASICs?
